New Garden ProjectIn Routt County we know that navigating regulations for a new food/agriculture business can be challenging. In order provide the most efficient and effective support to you as you explore your new business, we have created a Local Food Production-Regulatory Advisory Committee (LFP-RAC.) The committee can provide informal advice and suggestions to new food/agriculture businesses in Routt County. Simply complete the online Routt County Local Food Worksheet and submit it to the Routt County – CSU Extension office. You will be provided written comments from key departments and have an opportunity to schedule a round-table discussion with all pertinent regulatory departments.

*Conceptual site plan of the property can be obtained for a few dollars from the Assessor’s Office. This includes the property line boundaries of the parcel. A suggestion that two plans are created: 1. a parcel layer map showing gradient lines, streams/rivers, scale, and a North pointer symbol. 2. An aerial photo of the parcel – zoom level should include parts of the surrounding parcels. These two documents can be obtained through the Assessor’s office in an 8.5” x 11” format for $2 each. Larger sizes are available for additional cost.
