Horse Information

2023 Horse Ride Schedule schedule is subject to change. Members must be enrolled and paid in the Routt County Horse Program in order to participate in the rides. Horses must be registered under the member’s name in their 4-HOnline Animal ID.

Horse Fact Sheet 

Animal Care and Housing Form – this form must be completed by all 4-H members who house their 4-H animal someplace other then their home (fairgrounds, horse boarding, relatives house, friends house, etc.).  These forms must be turned into the Extension Office by June 1 (forms can also be uploaded to Animal IDs).

Show Rules/Expectations – Detailed information regarding Rules/Regulations/Expectations for the 4-H Member during the year.

  • We have printed manuals available at the Extension Office for $8 a book.

Horse Levels Testing – All horse members must complete their written and riding tests prior to Fair Entry Sign up.

  • Steamboat Levels Testing – Sunday, June 25 from 10am-2pm
  • Hayden Levels Testing – Sunday, July 2 from 10am-2pm

Dog Information

4-H Online Animal ID – All dogs must be uploaded into 4-H Online BY May 1!

Dog Project Manual – Project Manuals are available at the Routt County Extension Office. Contact Millie if your family is in need of a manual.
