Gardening season is near, and with all this time at home there has never been a better time to plan and start your garden! As always, the Routt County CSU Master Gardeners are on a mission to inspire connection with our environment by supporting our community with knowledge and resources.

2025 Evening with the Master Gardeners Event
Grow your own! Routt County CSU Master Gardeners host TWO open houses filled with expert gardening advice and hands-on demonstrations.
When: Tuesday, April 29, 2025 & Wednesday, April 30, 2025
5:00 pm to 7:00pm at Library Hall
- Learn about the best use of our short growing season, whether your garden space is small or large.
- This is a chance to talk one-on-one with the Yampa Valley’s local gardening gurus, whether you’re a seasoned gardener or new to growing things in Routt County.
- Experts will be on hand to share information about soil, climate, seed selection, container gardening, high-mountain perennials, gardening with kids, season extension and weeds and more.
- In addition, Master Gardeners will lead a 30-minute New to Routt County Gardening lecture from 5:30-6 p.m. each night.
This program is generously sponsored by the Routt County CSU Master Gardeners.
