The Elk River Wranglers meeting was called to order at 5:00pm. Then we did introduction of new members and the minutes from our last meeting. After that the treasurer and the secretary each shared their reports.
Old Business
- Project mentors: pairing a younger member with an older member to help them throughout the year
- The budget year goes from June 30th 2017-June 30th 2018
New Business
- If you are a first year livestock member or a first year senior member you need to take Meat Quality Assurance May 4th at the Steamboat Springs Community Center
- New member orientation is March 15 at 6pm in the Trout Creek room
- Northwest Colorado Expo will be held in Grand county June 12th-16th
- Public Presentation is May 6th at the extension office
- The county asks every member two sponsors due May 1st
- Senior scholarships are due April 7th
- Exchange is holding a BINGO night on April 8th
- Our next meeting will be before the IFYE presentation
- If you go to the IFYE presentation it will count as one of your required meetings
- We discussed committee work in individual groups
- Flower power fundraiser due May 1st

Elk River Wranglers Report, By Carsen Gerstell
The Elk River Wranglers meeting was called to order shortly after 4:00 pm. After that we did roll call, introduction of new gusts and new members, and our minutes from our last meeting. Next, we attended to our old business which included committee sign up, barn tours, project mentors : pairing a younger member with an older member to work together throughout the year. Our new business was our budget, the bylaws, reviewing the 4-H parliamentary procedure, committees, district retreat will be held March 24th-26th for members ages 10-18 years of age the deadline is February 27th, we are making it mandatory to attend both our fundraising BBQ and our pre livestock sale plus one of our community service projects, if you are a first year livestock member or a first year senior you need to take Meat Quality Assurance May 4th at The Steamboat Springs Community Center, and project and group meetings are starting to begin
- Horse Group: 2nd Wednesday of most months
- Rabbit Group: 4th Wednesday of most months
- Livestock Judging: February 28th 4:30 pm in Oak Creek,March 2nd 5:30 pm in Steamboat (Every week)
- Dog Meetings: Tuesday March 7th Trout Creek Room(Every other week)
- Vet science April 3rd parent meeting
- April 10th Junior meetings
- April 17 Intermediate meeting
- Seniors attended meeting on April 3rd to see what Dr. Meyring has in store for you this year
- Our next meeting will be March 12 @NRCCS
December 18th, 2016 Club Report:
On December 18th 2016 the Elk River wranglers meeting was called to order at 4:00 and ended at 5:15. First we did the pledges, roll call, reports, and attended to old business. Then we did the new business which included committees, the clarification of bylaws, the sledding party in January, and the re-elections of the president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. Our new president is Cassett Yeager is our new president, Tucker Limberg is our vice president, Kally May is our secretary, and Emmitt Meyring is our treasurer. The club finished by making Christmas baskets. Note: The next meeting will be held on January 8th 2017. Report by Carsen Gerstell.
