October 2017 High Point Club Report

The High Point 4-H Club meeting was held on October 8, 2017 at the Clark residence. We started off the meeting with our secretary and treasurer reports, then moved onto the council report. Jess Diehl encouraged High Point members to attend the November council meeting, so they could help vote for the next countywide council members. One of our community pride projects was fulfilled at this meeting, for we collected coats for a coat drive. Then, as a club, we decided to put $200 towards an auction basket for the Carl’s Tavern fundraiser coming up in December. Sophie Diehl and Caroline McLaughlin volunteered to be on the committee to help get that together. We then broke into committees to decide our theme for the Tread of Pioneers Christmas tree decorations, how we wanted to handle things at Achievement Night, and how to spend our extra club funds. The committee for the tree decided that we will be doing a Hawaiian theme. The Achievement Night committee decided that any members that went to the ceremony that were in good standing could come up to the front and represent our club. Finally, our budgeting committee decided that we would postpone any decisions to the December meeting.
