Routt County 4-H Scholarship Foundation
The Routt County 4-H Scholarship Foundation is a locally funded and operated non-profit organization that began in 1994 and started with a $500 donation. The foundation offers scholarship for high school and continuing education students pursuing college or vocational school, who have been active in 4-H. Since it’s inception, the Routt County 4-H Scholarship Foundation has awarded over 384 scholarships totaling over $693,000. The foundation continues to raise funds and take donations to build the endowment with a goal of some day reaching $1 million.
2024 High School Scholarships

- Scholarship applications are due by 5pm on April 1.
- All accompanying documents (two current letters of recommendation, high school transcript and 4-H Involvement Excel Form) need to be uploaded with the application. No documents will be accepted at the Extension Office. You can request the 4-H Involvement Form (in Excel format) to be emailed to you by contacting Tami Eggers (teggers@co.routt.co.us)
- High School Senior interviews will take place April 30th from 2:30-5:30pm at the Alpine Bank Conference Room. After submitting your application, please email Tami Eggers (teggers@co.routt.co.us) to schedule an interview time.
2024 Continuing Education Scholarship

- Click HERE to access the Continuing Education Google Forms application.
- Scholarship applications are due by 5pm on April 1.
- All accompanying documents (cover letter, resume) need to be uploaded with the application. No documents will be accepted at the Extension Office.
- Cover letter answering essay question: Do you think that you are more prepared for post-secondary education than your peers that did not participate in 4-H? Why or why not? Use a cover letter format and limit the letter to one page in length.
- Professional resume: In your resume, include: your major, school/college, career goal, activities, work experience, volunteer experience, other certifications you have earned since high school graduation (limit to two pages in length)
